In a future release, Genesys Cloud will add iconography to clarify the concept of identifier claiming for social, email, and phone identifiers on the Profile Panel UI and External Contact Management UI. This feature will help agents quickly and clearly understand the identifier ownership status. The ability to reassign identifiers easily will streamline contact management and reduce potential errors.

• Identifier icons: Icons will indicate which identifiers belong to a contact and which do not. 
• Repointing identifier claims: Users can repoint identifier claims from one contact to another and assign identifier claims to a contact via the External Contacts Management UI.

• Claimed identifier interaction: Clicking the unclaimed icon for an identifier already claimed by another contact will open a dialog. Users can reassign the identifier to the new contact or keep it as is.
• Unclaimed identifier interaction: Clicking the unclaimed icon for an identifier not claimed by another contact will open a dialog. Users can claim the identifier for the new contact or cancel to leave it unclaimed.
